Jameson 70cl ist bis heute einer der erfolgreichsten Whiskeys Irlands. Dieser Whisky ist ein sorgfaltig zusammengestellter Blend aus klassischen Irish Pot Still Whiskeys in Kombination mit Grain Whiskey. Pot Still Whiskey, der sich durch seine Basis aus sowohl gemalzter als auch ungemalzter Gerste auszeichnet, gibt es nur in Irland. Es wird oft angenommen, dass Jameson ein Single Malt Whiskey ist, aber das ist nicht der Fall. Eine der Regeln fur die Herstellung eines solchen Whiskys ware, dass im Produktionsprozess ausschliesslich gemalzte Gerste verwendet wird. Da der Jameson Whiskey auf der Basis von sowohl gemalzter als auch ungemalzter Gerste hergestellt wird, fallt er nicht unter diese Kategorie.
